Xena Season 3 will be re-released on 13 March. Unlike recent re-issues of Seasons 1&2, this 8-disk set will include many extras. It can be pre-ordered from Amazon for $18.99.
Amazon now has DEADRISE for $15.97 via OSIRUS ENTERTAINMENT.
DIAMONDS AND GUNS seems to no longer be available on DVD. Neither is it available on Netflix.
XENA, WARRIOR PRINCESS is being re-released in individual seasons. It should be noted that the new Seasons One and Two DVD sets have no closed captioning and the each include only the following:
6 DVDs with 4 episodes each and 1 CD-ROM with a screensaver, Cast and Director bios with something called "Scrolls" that enables one to scroll through cast lists, and a Season One trivia game. In short, there are virtually NO EXTRAS. Full screen video, English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo sound.
This is not something with which to replace your old Xena DVD set. And if you have a 1080i HDTV, you might enjoy the original release a lot better (5 episodes to a disk on the new one, 4 to a disk on the old). And there are no extras and very little artwork. Although it is out of print, so to speak, the original DVD set of season one is still available from third party sellers on Amazon.
Creation Entertainment will not publish a DVD of the 2011 Xena Convention.
The 2009 and 2010 Xena Conventions are now available on DVD from CREATION ENTERTAINMENT. The price for the two-DVD set is $34.95.
2010:MOBY DICK, starring Renee O'Connor and Barry Bostwick, is now available from Amazon. It is available for pre-order on Amazon.uk for £5.99. In the UK, the title is simply MOBY DICK.
DARKMAN II - THE RETURN OF DURANT has been re-released on DVD and is available from Amazon for $3.57. With Larry Drake and Kim Delaney (Army Wives).
Words Unspoken is available on DVD from Roc Pictures. Price is $12 USA, $13 Canada, $15 Europe.
Volume One of THE ROCKFORD FILES movie collection includes Renee O'Connor's appearance in the second film "A Blessing In Disguise", and is available from Amazon.
Season 1 of HERCULES THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS has been released as a 3 disk set. The 5 TV movies that preceded Season 1 of Hercules are not included in the new DVD's (they were in the original Season 1 set). Same advice applies here as to the Xena release above.
Alle 6 Staffeln von Xena sind in deutscher Sprache zum ersten Mal. Near as I can tell, the German DVD set is like unto the original USA Xena DVD set with all the extras and four episodes to a disk. Hercules has also been issued similary in German.
